Georgiy Nikolaevich Chagin, hero of the Permfaces project, has passed away

Every story of each hero of the permfaces.com website is carefully and gently collected and recorded. We guess it is the result of life itself, with all its turns and tangles, problems, coincidences, tragedies, wonders, and sudden events. We were at the end of editing story of the university professor and ethnologist Georgiy Nikolaevich Chagin when on November 11, 2018 we learned that he had passed away. It is very difficult to accept this.

There are people-symbols, people-keepers in Perm region who unite a whole layer of culture, unique knowledge, and people through their work and ideas. Georgiy Nikolaevich, a true enthusiast and scientist passionate about the history of our region, was one of those people. We offer our condolences to the family of Georgiy Nikolaevich and we say thank you to him for all the work and knowledge he shared so generously.
